Philip Wacha. The Water Colour Man.
‘Am intrigued by the ‘Big Five’ and have spent a good part of my painting years bringing them to life.’
By the ‘Big Five’ Philip is referring to some of Africa’s best known and most popular wild animals. This exclusive group is made of the Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo. The Big Five are renowned for their ‘wild’ nature, exceptionality and danger factor. Unfortunately, its these same unique factors that puts them on the list of endangered and vulnerable animals.
‘Painting them is my small way of bringing attention to the uniqueness of the Big Five, while also highlighting the dangers they face from Poachers, encroachers and trophy Hunters.’
Philip paints in Water Colour but on occasion will play around with oil and acrylics. He hails from Uganda/East Africa.
